Effective date: October 5, 2026
CopperHouse Project Management Inc. ("CopperHouse," "we," "us") is a Calgary-based staffing firm that places contract project managers with Canadian companies. This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information, in line with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and other Canadian privacy laws that apply.

From companies:
the name, title, email and phone of the person contacting us
details about the role and project you need filled
From website visitors:
basic usage data (pages visited, device type, approximate location) collected through cookies and analytics tools. This helps us understand how the site is used. You can block cookies in your browser.
How we use it
to match project managers with suitable contract mandates, and to contact you when there's a fit
to screen candidates, including interviews and reference checks
to set up and manage placements, including contracts, timesheets, invoicing and payment
to respond to inquiries and requests
to meet our legal, tax and licensing obligations
to improve our website and services
We only collect what we need for these purposes, and we don't sell personal information.
Consent
We ask for your consent when you submit a form, send us your résumé, or agree to be represented by us. We will never share a project manager's profile with a company without that person's permission. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us. This may limit what we can do for you, but it won't affect anything already done lawfully.
Who we share it with
Client companies: a project manager's profile is shared only with that person's consent, and only with companies considering them for a specific role.
Service providers who help us run the business, such as website hosting, email, cloud storage, accounting and payment tools. They may only use your information to provide their services to us.
Government or regulators, when the law requires it.
Storage outside Canada
Some of our service providers, including our website platform (Squarespace), email and cloud storage, may store or process information outside Canada, mainly in the United States. The laws of those countries may allow authorities there to access the information.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires. For example, contract and tax records are kept for the periods required by law. If you ask us to remove you from our roster, we'll delete or anonymize your profile, except for records we're required to keep.
How we protect it
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including password-protected accounts, two-factor authentication where available, and access limited to those who need it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Email us and we'll respond within 45 days, as PIPA requires. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta (oipc.ab.ca).
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with its effective date.
